so I got my mp4 player and it does everything just fine except play the amv files which it supports. the videos are transfering on to my player but my player won't play them or even give me an error message. I then formatted my player and tried again but its the same story.

First thing to check is the SAMPLE video file that came with your player. Check that file and find out resolution it is in. Is it actually a .AMV file or is it something else?

Also, wha screen size player do you have?

problem solved. the program vidrop saved me a lot of headache and works like a charm. thanks.

It's good to keep the post in case someone stumbles upon it and knows how you solved your problem.

So, did you player play .amv or .avi videos?
