It was named on eBay:
GMC 1GB * 2 MP * 13-IN-1* 2.5" DV/CAMERA/MP3/MP4/VIDEO.
The price (shipment included) was $86.48

Description of the item.

-Player has 1GB Samsung flash memory. From the first minute I felt that 1GB is not enough memory for MP4 Player. I used to play already with 4GB that now seems to me also not so big memory. 1GB is very uncomfortable to test the player. The biggest memory that seller offered for such type of players was 2GB.

-There is SD (standard) slot and using it device memory can be increased on additional 4GB and with this additional memory player looks much better.

- Display has 65000 colors (320x240) and its quality is good enough for movies in mp4 format.

-There are 3 sockets for 3.5mm audio jack USB cable and one separate for wall charger. If you want to charge it you must have its special cable at hand. Device support USB/USB2. In computer it is displayed as 2 removable disks (one for internal flesh memory and other for Mini SD card).

-Rechargeable Battery charges through wall charger only that is very disappointing. When you’re uploading files player does not charges itself but looses power. When power is off you can not use player as flash drive at all. It is the craziest construction decision of player’s creators from my point of view.
To charge full batteries takes 3 hrs. But they do not hold power even a day of my common use and only for audio playback. For video, photo and camera you’ll have charged player only half a day at best. You must always have wall charger at hand. Connection to computer through USB will not help you.

What can device do?

1. It plays music (MP3, WAV, WMV). There is no Explorer in the player that is another big disappointment. All your audio files you must upload in “AUDIO” folder of the player where they will be in a common hype. There is no other possibility to play selected bunch of audio files but manually. Play mode options are poor. There is no A-B repeat option in the player that could help in this case.
Equalizer has only presets that not impressed me at all. The best sound quality I have in “Normal” Equalizer option.
Nevertheless the quality of sound is very good (only don’t touch equalizer).

2. Device plays video in MP4 and 3GP format (software included). I use Movavi Suite to rip DVD to these formats directly and did not tested included software. Movies playback quality is very good for MP4 format. But in this case you will find that there is no memory in the player to see a signal movie. Short 50 min movie takes almost 1GB that is more than player has even if you delete all other files.
Playback in 3GP isn’t so good. Using Movavi settings I improved quality in this format to level it could be seen more or less good. But the sound in this format has also worse quality and I couldn’t improve it till MP4 level.
In 3GP format full movie takes about 400MB.

3. 2.5” screen is not of course like 2.8” of Onda but still good enough. There are no settings to adjust display such as brightness or others.

4. The player displays your pictures (jpeg) very well.

5. The item works as flash memory device of 1GB (if not with SD) but only when it turned on. No power – no flash device.

6. There is Dictaphone in the player. It has no settings and I wasn’t satisfied with its quality.

7. There is no FM radio. I do not like it cause I have no chance to catch news or any music station if I want to.

8. There are plenty of games in the player. They are .MES files and can be uploaded from the net. Game lovers will appreciate it.

9. You can read e-books in txt format and it is easier to do here cause of white background in this option though the screen is smaller than in Onda. It is easier to read names of files due to white background also.

Till now all sounds not very encouraging.
But there is some salt in it.

10. 2M digital camera makes pictures of modest quality but good enough for 2.5’ screen. You may right after shooting check them in “Picture” option.

11. Digital camcorder makes recordings that can be seen in “Movies” option. They are not of very good quality. But this option is fun. Microphone placed in the edge of the player and sound is recording not well enough.

12. There are also calendar, calculator and notebook. You can use it if you want.

Package included:

1 x MP4 player
1 x English User Manual (here it suits the item and can be understood)
1 x Software CD
1 x Stereo Headphone (and decent ones)
1 x USB Cable
1 x Wall Charger
No Pouch and it is a pity. Onda had very comfortable pouch.

The box itself looks much better than Onda’s one and all pats were packed carefully and item was received in good order.

There were no viruses in it and that is good. I tested it a pair of weeks. Sound is very good. The only problem is to organize your files.
Movies playback in MP4 is very good (picture/sound) but you must have enough memory for MP4.
Buttons are comfortable to operate the player even through soft pouch by touch while walking.
As I said camera/camcorder options are fun but I do not like quality of them. I think I need them but of better quality.
I always had wall charger with me and the player has its own one that can not be replaced with standard through USB charger.
During test period I found only one problem. The player doesn’t want to work properly with FM transmitter and I do not know yet why.

I bought on eBay mini SD card (4GB). Using included mini SD adapter I inserted it in the player. It works well with the player and gives enough memory for movies.
The real nightmare is rewind. It gives only x2 speed. If you want to find place you finished last time somewhere in the middle of the movie you understand how much time you need to do it.
