Hi everyone,

This will be the first competition for this site.

I would like to run a competition to have the "ranks" images on this site redesigned to fit in with the purpose of this site - MPx (MP3/MP4) players.

Everyone is invited to enter. Post some of your original designs here in this post. Then I will display all the entries and get everyone to vote for their favourite.

The winner will have their design displayed on this site and win a prize (read further down).

I will leave this post running for a couple of weeks and see how many entries are posted. Then will create a new post with all the enteries for everyone to vote on.


Now, for the PRIZE part.

What do you all think would be a good prize? Majority of us all pretty much have an MPx player already. What do you think about an accessory for it instead? Like an FM Tuner or Skin or arm band or something similar? Or would you prefer another MPx player? Hey guys, here is another entry, one last one that I have managed to squeeze in today. Since this forum is dedicated to helping us with using our mp4 or mp3 players then ofcourse we are all music enthusiasts, so this is what came to mind. Also, I designed it to be quite eyecatching so it will be more noticeable. Maybe ill make one last entry a little later on. Hope you guys like it, let me know!

Hey admin, thanks! Ill try to put up some more entries later on. Also, did you see the top image samples I had to replace the old MyMpxPlayer.com image?

Well here is my other entry. Im just throwing out as many ideas that come into my mind. This one shows a speaker or "loud speaker" with the volume increased or decreased (a similar graphic can be seen on some types of mp4 players and thats why i designed it that way) but basically as the ranks go up it shows that those who have a higher rank have more say as their volumes are louder. Hope you guys like it, it takes me a while to put my idea in image form so hopefully its appreciated. Thanks!

how about designing the favicon.ico in your root directory Binh? At the moment it looks like the PHPBB logo just a simple icon of a player would do. You might not see it on Internet Explorer but its on Firefox all the time, and will show up when you add it to your favourites. Just a word of advice

Hey Binh, I can make the favicon for you. Its quite simple, all you have to do is upload it into the root directory of the site and it will show up. As fizzle05 said, Firefox will display the favicon all the time, however for IE to display it you have to add the website to your favorites and then it will show up, but either way its a good idea. Ill try to put up a few favicon images by today.

Well i tried a few combinations for the favicon and some worked and some didnt - I tried the nano clones in both black and white however since the image size for a favicon is restricted to 16x16 the image appeared so small that it all just blended in. After trying a few different players I finally came across one that looked okay. I have uploaded a zip folder which includes: a larger favicon which also can be used which is 32x32 which is a lot better looking, an animated favicon in gif and png format and a readme file that indicates how to install both the regular favicon as well as the animated one.

Well heres another one, a modification of the equalizer one that I had - this one is better when compared to that one so here goes. I think im the only one participating - maybe ive already won ..hehe..anyway check it out.
