BIG HELP MP4 freezes and shows a sand clock in the screen

Hi everyone .... i need big help here... i have an mp4 player its exactly this model

BUT when i conected my mp4 to my PC through an USB cable it's freezes ... in the screen appear a sand clock and nothing happend ... i first thought that this was a firmware corruption problem ... but when i tried to download a firmware i realize that i need to know what firmware to download ... how can i know that ... or is this another problem... help me out here please

The USB cable might be defective, try another one.
If you need firmware, Setup -> firmware options will give the version and possibly CPU, but you'll need to open it up to get the board ID.
